Maria Naldira Costa, 79, was born on January 28, 1940 in the Island of Terceira, Azores. She was the daughter of Joao C. Nunes and Belarmina De Lurdes Pereira. She immigrated to the USA on December 24, 1970 with her family. She was the wife of the late Jose M. Costa. She is survived by her two sons, Joseph DaCosta and Adelino P. Costa.
She worked at Hope Webbing Co. in Pawtucket and for many years at Monet Jewelry. She was very involved in the Holy Spirit Society at her church, St. Anthony’s in Pawtucket, for many years. She loved all her brothers and sisters, John P. Nunes, Frank Nunes, Belarmina Martinez, Elsa Burgner, and her late brothers, Joe Nunes and Luis Nunes. She loved all her grandchildren, Michael DaCosta, Jeffrey Costa, Ashley Costa, Christopher W. Costa, Tammy M. Costa; and her great grandchildren, Michael Joseph Albert DaCosta and Cassandra DaCosta.
Her funeral will begin at 10:30a.m. on Friday, July 26th from Keefe Funeral Home, Five Higginson Ave., Lincoln, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00p.m. in St. Anthony Church, 32 Lawn Ave., Pawtucket. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Providence. Calling hours will be Thursday, July 25th from 5:00 - 8:00p.m. at Keefe Funeral Home. Relatives and friends are invited.
